Long Tail? What is that? Is there really such a thing? You better believe it and if you don’t have a strategy taking advantage of this, other smart Internet Real Estate marketers will.

Well, let me start of and define long tail analysis. It’s the analysis of hundreds to thousands of keywords and key phrases that a site is found for, but are rarely noticed and/or exploited. It’s flipping your thought from going after the top 50 keywords and going after the trailing words. Here is a depiction of the long tail search.

You see from the graph above, that the majority of traffic that one can gain is from the long tail ( green area) and not necessarily from the most popular key words ( red area). If you go after the red area, then typically the competition is fierce. In the green area, its relatively unexploited.

How do you go about creating a collection of “long tail keywords”?

Well, it takes a keyword analysis guru in my opinion to not only capture those words/phrases but also create a page that is designed around that keyword. But, it’s well worth every penny spent! You can be the only one on the block optimized for that given keyword/phrase and receiving FREE traffic.

But, if you want to try it yourself first, use these tools:

  1. Wordtracker
  2. Nichebot

Once you build a great list of keywords, then you’re ready to create pages from them. You will want to concentrate on the 2 most important factors of SEO. ( onpage optimization and offpage optimization) .. I’ll discuss these 2 topics later.. stay tuned.

Have a great day!

Everyone is here because they want to share, find friends, find clients and help others achieve their dreams! This is the perfect medium to do so.

But if you are searching for your next client to help, then you must do a few things on the web to been seen nowadays!

You need to build a web site that is “non-branded”. You see, there is a “branded” and “non branded” type of site. I would recommend having both, but in order to have a “first time visitor” fill out a form, it would be better that the site is not about you.

Now, within the body of your non-branded site, you can create an anchor text that points to your branded site. That’s a smart thing to do. This way, you give relevancy to your other site. Now, you may want to learn how to build an effective landing page, because a landing page, i.e., a page you make strictly as a entry point to your site, is your way to bring clients to your site via pay per click (PPC) and other social mediums.

It’s imperative to have a dual prong approach in your Internet marketing solution.. “search engine optimization (SEO) and pay per click (PPC)”.. Your ultimate objective is to finally wean yourself from PPC, and have an SEO program that is bringing you the traffic. To learn how to SEO your way to the top, stand by..

Tomorrow’s topic will be ” Long Tail Analysis”.. it’s and awesome thing going on in the SEO world! Stay tuned!

Real Estate Internet Marketing

P.S.: Will also discuss Google Analytics! :

I realized that there are so many excellent Real Estate agents out there that it makes sense for me to work with them instead of vying for the business. Now, don’t get me wrong. I love selling houses. I have pride in being a Realtor.

I do know this.. whoever embraces the Internet will make it through this flat period and come out of it STRONG. I just think we should all do our passions in life and that’s why I’m shifting. My passion is to work with Internet Savvy Real Estate agents that want to make a presence on the net. ( So, let me help )
So, LET’S DISCUSS blogging!

What is blogging? It stands for Web log (Blog). The great thing about blogging is that you can make Internet pages that if done properly, can score high on keyword phrases. What do you get? FREE organic searches to your site!
So, you need to start off on the right foot!. You want to select an awesome username on talk.realtor.com! (Get them before they are taken up!) Do you see mine? my username is: orangecountyrealestate. Grab a username that is specific to the city you want to compete in.

What does this do for you? Let’s say for example, a potential buyer wants to buy Mission Viejo real estate, because your username has the keyword phrase, mission viejo real estate, the url will have it too, and therefore, the Googlebot will like the page because it finds keyword relevancy in your url (domain). (tip of the day)

So, stay tuned and I’ll update on what I’ve learned about the new web 2.0 !
